Mentana is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application.
• Personal Information: Name and email for account creation • Wellbeing Data: Mood entries, sleep data, stress levels, notes, and chat messages • Technical Data: Device information, usage analytics, and crash reports
• Mood Analysis: AI-powered insights about your wellbeing patterns • Personalized Experience: Customized recommendations and support • Progress Tracking: Visualize your wellbeing journey • AI Chat & Journaling: Your messages and mood data are sent to OpenAI to generate responses (see Section 4a)
• Firebase (Google Cloud): Encrypted storage of your data • OpenAI: Temporary processing for AI features (see Section 4a) • Local Device: Cached data for offline access • All data encrypted in transit and at rest
When you use the AI chat or guided journaling features, the following data is transmitted to OpenAI, L.L.C. (openai.com): • Your chat messages and journal entries • Mood context (e.g., mood score and notes) This data is sent solely to generate AI responses. OpenAI does not use data submitted via the API to train its models. Mentana does not sell this data to any other third party. OpenAI processes data under their own Privacy Policy: openai.com/policies/privacy-policy You will be asked for your explicit consent before any data is sent to OpenAI. You can decline and still use all non-AI features of the app.
We DO NOT share your data with: • Third parties (except OpenAI for AI features, see Section 4a) • Advertisers • Employers • Insurance companies • Family members (without explicit consent)
• Access: Request a copy of all your data • Rectification: Correct inaccurate information • Erasure: Delete your account and all data • Portability: Export your data in readable format • Restriction: Limit how we process your data • Objection: Object to certain data processing
• Minimum Age: 13 years old • Parental Consent: Required for users under 18
